We regularly release changes to the Assignar platform. These include new features, improvements and bug fixes. Below you can find a list of the changes we roll out with each new release.

FW App - Thursday 2 April 2020

New features / improvements:

  • We’ve improved the error messages we show users, to make it easier to understand the issue

Web App - Thursday 2 April 2020

New features / improvements:

  • We’ve improved the rendering of Digital Docket list views to make it easier to navigate multiple pages
  • We now prompt for confirmation before archiving an order from the Timeline (Planner) view
  • We now retain text formatting (like new lines and such) in Journals shown on the web app
  • Qualification attachments can now be shown from Allocations tab

Web App : Insights Module - Friday 27th March 2020

Improvements:

1. Add Asset Description

We have now exposed the asset description in the Asset Entity.

2. Comments on Chargeable Items
We have now exposed Comments on Chargeable Items in Costs.

3. Average Hourly Rates for Asset
We have now exposed Average Hourly Rates in Asset Entity so that the customers can see hours spent against that asset alongside the average cost of operating that asset.

4. Add Activity Name in Timesheet Activity Report
Hence in order to make sure that our customers benefit from the Report Library and use most of our pre-built reports we have added Activity name to the “Timesheet Activity Report”.

Web App : Insights Module - Friday 25th March 2020

Improvements:

1. Description of user competencies : Description data point within User Competencies have now been exposed in explore to be used in Reporting.

2. Adding Different formats of Start/End Times to Timesheets : Some of our customers wanted flexibility in having all 3 types of formats for Timesheet start and end times.
So now we have
a. Just Date
b. Just Time
c. Both Date and Time as data points in the Insights. 

Bug :

Form Result Answers for Payroll Report : While creating a Payroll export you would not be able to see answers of the Question type "datetime". This was a bug which has now been fixed.

Web App - Tuesday 25 February 2020

New features / improvements: 

  • The Project Map will now default to show a map of your location, until you have specified the specific location of the project. Note that you will be asked to share your browser location with us - if you block it, the map will not default to the relevant location
  • We have added an 'Assignee' filter to Form Results, so that you can now filter on the specific user a result is assigned to. As part of this, we also change the 'Status' column so that it no longer includes the assignee

Fieldworker App - Monday 24 February 2020

New features / improvements: 

  • When you set up a 'Place of Interest' in a map, the text will now wrap cleanly so that words are not cut in the middle and displayed across multiple lines 
  • You can now customise the terminology used in the Site Diary search bar
  • We've built notifications that will be sent to FWs in relation to the following events:

         1. Allocation starting - a reminder to check in
         2. Allocation ending - a reminder to check out
         3. Form required - a reminder that your allocation requires a completed form

  • We fixed an issue that was causing total times to display incorrectly in dockets

Web App  – Monday 16th March 2020

  • Web app users can now edit a fieldworker's leave requests.
  • You can now attach a two images to a worker competency - and we will merge them into a single file.
  • In the fieldworker Expiry tab in the top bar, we've relabelled "Licence Expiries" as "Competency Expiries"
  • We have improved the default file naming of exported form results.
  • We have added a setting to hide the Add Timesheet button on confirmed allocations, for those of you who are not using timesheets to track workers' time.
  • For improved consistency, we have moved the Order Import menu to the Settings -> Import menu.
  • Printing a form or docket result from the Activity Feed now uses the custom print template.
  • We fixed an issue where docket time would be rounded to the nearest hour in the docket worker breakdown report.
  • We improved the process of selecting task dates when moving orders.
  • We have improved the way filtering works in the Project Planner. As a result, some of your existing filters may be reset after this update.

Web App : Insights Module - Friday 13th March 2020

New features / Improvements:

1.Geo Spatial Reporting on Maps

Whenever you submit a form, the form submissions can be plotted on a map.

2. Comments on Documents
While analysing the documents if you put additional notes and need to filter on them. You can do so by adding these notes to “Comments” in the documents.
Hence we have now added Comments to the Documents - Subject Area in the Documents Entity.

3. Asset Profile
If you use number reading to understand how many kms your assets have done, so that you do not to overuse that particular asset or send it for maintenance etc.
Thus, added number reading to the Asset Dimension.

4. Order Owner
In case you want to see owner of an order, you can see it as a Dashboard User in Orders-Subject Area.

5. First Name and Last Name split
For MYOB Exports you may need to give first names and last names as separate columns.
Hence, we have added first name and last name in the Fieldworker Entity as a dimension.

6. Signature
Added signature name and a signature flag as a dimension in Timesheet Entity.
 
7. Timesheet Created Date
Previously, if you pull timesheet_created_date, it would just give you a date column whereas they needed timestamps as well to filter correctly.
So, added Time to the drop down list of Timesheet Created 

8. Form Result Enhancements
This has a lot of mini enhancements
Now you have the ability to slice and dice these form results by
Fieldworkers who create the form result
Dashboard users who created the form result
If the form is assigned to a Dashboard User
If you have used a worker question and using that you can slice by the fieldworker.
If you have used an asset question and using that you can slice by the asset.

9. Payroll Exports
This was one of the biggest issues that we had this week, where customers were not able to create their Payroll Reports exactly as it is in Data Visualizer.
So we were able to build that feature in. 

Bug fixes:

1. Work Item Time in Hours
We had a rounding issue while calculating work items. It used to round it off to the lowest integer. We have updated it to have at least 2 decimal digits.

2. Height of the Dashboards
Allowing flexible height adjustment of the content in dashboards.

Fieldworker App - Monday 24 February 2020

New features / improvements: 

  • Performance enhancements to offline mode, making it quicker and more reliable to view form data
  • We have made a change to work items in Site Diary in order to ensure clean data collection, meaning that users can no longer select the "Select a work item" option

Bug fixes: 

  • We fixed an issue that was causing the keyboard on iPhones to hide the comments section on a timesheet.

  • You can now see all of your Site Diaries in one simple view. We have added a table view to Site Diaries, allowing you to see a summary of all submitted Site Diaries in one place.

  • We have fixed a bug that was adding our default questions into the Site Diary builder when a user cleared all questions.

Fieldworker App - Friday 14 February 2020

New features / improvements: 

  • We’ve updated the app's header. If you click on the user icon in the header (top right of the app) you will now be taken to the ‘My Profile’ page. Note that we have not removed the pre-existing 'My Profile' option.
  • Site diaries will now display the reason as to why you can’t sign a site diary.

Bug fixes: 

  • We fixed an issue that was causing the app to freeze when saving or submitting large files within forms.
  • We have removed the wrong start and end times for work items on the daily site diary.
  • We fixed a bug that was causing custom terms to not work on certain forms.

Web App – Monday 10 February, 2020

Scheduler

  • You can now quickly add a new client or project when creating an order.
  • You no longer have to select a client before selecting a project in the new order form (only in the new Order form in Scheduler).
  • Fixed an issue where project location would not pre-populate when creating new orders.
  • Fixed an issue where Scheduler might fail to show data when an order was very long or contained a lot of detail.

Digital Dockets

  • We have added Order Comments, and the first Order Contact, when exporting to CSV. You can add Order Comments and all order Contacts, when custom-printing.
  • You can now link a digital docket to a timesheet from the Timesheets list in the Web app.

Site Diary

  • We've added Modified Time to exported Site Diaries

  • We have improved our offline functionality - you can now confirm and decline allocations, check in and out of your shift and complete dockets all while offline

Bug fixes:

  • Fixed an issue that would cause certain operations to fail when you have a very-large crew
  • Fixed an issue where, on a slow internet connection, it was possible to submit multiple crew timesheets

Fieldworker App - Thursday 9 January 2020

New features / improvements: 

  • We have improved the scale we use to show your project’s Site Map in the app
  • In forms, we default date fields to today’s date, for required forms, making it easier and quicker to complete form submissions

Bug fixes:

  • When completing a Site Diary, we would round shift times to 15 minutes in some places, regardless of the scheduled start times (a shift starting at 6:55 would show as starting at 7:00)
  • If you removed a worker from a Site Diary, then re-add that worker, we now keep the original allocation information
